SPV have recently completed the roofing works at The Iceland Frozen Foods Store, Allerton Road, Liverpool.
The main shop roof area consists of a sloped roof with a covering of concrete tiles. The existing felt roof had a chipping finish applied over a concrete substrate. It was in a very poor condition with holes and splits in the mineral flashings all the way around the perimeter. SPV removed the existing chipings to leave a chip free surface then released and re sealed all blisters and made good any other defects in the roof covering supplied and laid. We then supplied and laid a Bitumen impregnated recovery board bonded in bitumen to the primed surface following by high performance fire safe underlay and cap sheet.
SPV also inspected and carried out all necessary maintenance work to the upstand details and applied new waterproofing to upstand details comprising of SPV 3mm Elastomeric Underlay and 4mm Elastomeric Mineral Cap Sheet.
On completion, SPV supplied and fix new waterproofing to cowl details, supplied and fix SPV plastisol cover flashing to all brickwork upstands pointed with a polysulphide mastic sealant and carefully dress Isotropic waterproofing membrane into the specified rainwater outlets and pipes making sure that they were fully sealed.
